Off to a great November in Oakland Kindergarten

We have been having so much fun in kindergarten. This week we will focus on the first Thanksgiving, the wampanogs and the pilgrims. We will make lots of time for crafts and of course turkeys too. The children will learn some Thanksgiving songs to sing at our upcoming feast. In math we are working on comparing numbers up to 10. The children will be learning vocabulary such as greater than, less than and equal to. In phonics the children are learning how to blend sounds together to sound out words. We are also working on the a word families such as AP, AN, AD, AB, AG, and AT. All of the children are making progress in all subject areas. It's been a great start to the year.
