Week of June 27th Ringwood

Welcome to kamptime!!! This week we kick off our summer program and we have a lot of exciting things going on!! This week we have color day, water day, ice cream day and bike day!!

Week Of June 27th Ramapo Valley Road

Hooray for summer!! The infant room is looking forward to moving over to Bauer Drive. We would like to welcome to new caregivers to our room: Miss Amanda and Miss Meredith!! We will also have a new infant joining our room: Welcome Lucy!!!

Change is a challenge to everyone- children, caregivers and parents. There are a few things a parent should keep in mind to help their child cope with change.

First remember everything isn’t changing. The caregiver-child relationship will be remaining the same so will your child’s schedule, daily routines and group of friends. Next, view adjusting to change as a transition. It may take a few weeks to settle down after the big move however the children will learn to accommodate the change much faster than you. Your child will be cautious at first and will look to you for cues as to whether or not the environment is acceptable. Just remember keep a positive outlook throughput the transition. We will make it as smooth and comfortable as possible. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let someone know:)

Week of June 27th Bauer Drive

This week we are bringing the beach to K2K!!!!! We kick off kamptime with the color of the week: orange!!!! On Tuesday we will be having water day. Everyone should come to school with their bathing suit on,  a towel and a change of cloths!!!! Next we will be making a ice box cake on Wednesday.  then Thursday is bike day and ice cream day!!! Don’t forget to bring your bike and sign up for ice cream in the lobby!!! Finally we end our week with water day on Friday!!!

In the two’s they are diving deep learning about the animals that live in ocean and on the beach!!

In the threes they are learning all about the fun activities that you can do at the beach like swimming, building a sand castle and playing catch!! We will also be playing in the sand table in our classroom!!

In the Pre-K and Kindergarten we will be making a beach in the bottle, a beach collage, we will be doing sand art and making a beach scene!!

Week of June 20th Kindergarten: Miss Danielle

This week in kindergarten is Graduation Week! We will do a lot of PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!! Look out for their final evaluations! We are super excited to share with you are special graduation that we have worked so hard on all year. ****Graduation is June 24^th, 2011 at 9:00 am *****

Week of June 20th Pre-K: Miss Trish

This is it- Graduation is Wednesday, June 22, 2011!  We have been busy beavers and are eager to show off our hard work!

Week of June 20th Three’s Room: Miss Dana

In the three’s this week we will be talking about planets and stars with Mr.X!!! This week we will be making a special art project: space helmets using the milk jugs! Also we will be making rocket ships and space ship.10, 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 BLAST OFF!!!!!!!!! We will also be having a Space Snack!!!!

Week of June 20th Two’s Room: Miss Debbie

Summer has arrived!! It has been a rainy spring but let’s keep our fingers crossed for a BEAUTIFUL SUMMER!!!  We will be talking about all the fun stuff there is to do in the summer and what we need to wear during the summer months. Our water days will be starting and we can’t wait to get out and enjoy the pool!!

Week of June 20th Waddlers/Toodlers

Hooray summer is almost here! We can’s wait for June 21 to come and bring the hot summer weather with it. This week we will be getting ready to summer by spending more time outside. We will be taking walks, playing with bubbles and playing in water!!! We always have so much in the sun!!!!

Week Of June 20th Kindergarten: Miss Kimmie

We can’t believe the end is finally here! This week, we will work very hard having our final 3 practices for our graduation ceremony that will be on Thursday.  We have worked so hard learning our songs and lines; we can’t wait for you to see our ceremony.  We will write letters to the Kindergarten class that will be coming in September.  In our letters we will share some of our favorite memories and activities from the year and offer any advice we can think of.

Most of all, we will just enjoy being together for the last week. We are here as a class, standing at the beginning of the rest of our lives together! Each of us has worked so hard and accomplished so much.  We will stand at graduation and hold our heads high, because we know that we are ready to enter this next phase of our lives!!!

I am so proud of you Kindergarten!! I will miss you and look forward to visits from you next year! X O X O

Week of June 20th Pre-K: Miss Kristen

This week in Pre-k we are practicing for graduation!!!! Graduation is on Wednesday June 22^nd!!!! This week we are going to Practice, Practice, Practice!!! We are also going to have a cupcake party on Monday and just enjoy our week together!! I am so proud of all my little chickadees and I wish you all the best in kindergarten!!! I will miss each one of you and please come back to visit!!!
